Arlington Heights

166 Sylvia Street is close to the shopping district in Arlington Heights.  Here you'll find neighborhood favorites including Balich 5 & 10, Wanamaker Hardware, Trader Joe's, Brigham's, Lakota Bakery, Panera Bread, a number of small restaurants serving pizza, Thai, Chinese and more.  The Arlington Reservoir offers residents a place to swim in the summer and the Minuteman bike path runs parallel to Mass Ave.

Schools

166 Sylvia Street is in the Dallin Elementary School District.  The Dallin building was completed in 2006 and serves students in kindergarten through grade five.  The Dallin School is approx. six tenths of a mile from 166 Sylvia Street. Arlington's middle school, Ottoson, is about 1.3 miles from the house and the high school is just under two miles away.

Transportation

Bike, car or bus - you've got plenty of transportation options in the neighborhood.  There's easy access to and from Route 2 via the Dow Ave exit and Mass Avenue is at the base of the street.  The Minuteman Bikepath runs just behind Mass Ave at the base of Sylvia Street - take it out to Bedford or in to Cambridge.  The 78 bus to Harvard Square and the 84 bus to Alewife stop just a couple of blocks from the house.

Close to Lexington

166 Sylvia Street is close to Lexington, MA. Travel past the Colonial era houses on  Mass Ave and you'll find the Historic Battle Green in Lexington Center and a variety of shops and restaurants. The very popular Wilson Farms is a short drive away and a great source for locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, gardening supplies and plants, seasonal items, gifts and more.

Sutherland Woods

Nature lovers will appreciate the proximity to Sutherland Woods, a Lexington conservation area that is adjacent to the neighborhood. This 25-acre parcel includes a vernal pond, a thick oak and hickory woods and a field with ball field and playground equipment.
